The Social Class
A: I am from the upper class, I am not supposed to work, because none of people from the upper class work for money. I am educated to enjoy my life. Three meals, morning tea and afternoon tea occupy all of my time a day. I am not allowed making friends with other class people, because I have my reputation to maintain. All my friends are from the upper class. I look down on them (he is looking at B and C.)
B: I am from the middle class. I have to study and work hard in order to get into the upper class. I have to dress well and eat well to maintain my reputation. I look up to the upper class (he is looking at A) and I look down on the lower class (he is looking at the C). I know my place.
C: I am from the lower class. I don’t need to study hard, because I have no brain. I do need to work hard, because I am strong in my arms. Because I have no friends, only doing job can kill my time and full up my boredom. I don’t need to dress up well, because no one will notice me. Due to less expense I spend on my living and higher savings from my hard work, I have no friends but a lot of money. I look up to the upper class and the middle class (he is looking at A and B). I know my place.

Little Duck-Jack You Are What You Eat
Little Duck Jack is getting quite worried about his weight. Today he was teased by his classmate Mark because of his big belly. Jack has a very tiny head and thin legs. He looks quite cute. Of course, he also has a cute belly, which is round and a little big.
At school one day Mark stepped forward to him and said, “Jack, has your mother fed you a lot of potatoes? Why does your belly look a potato bag? I think you are going to a potatoman soon. Your body will grow potatoes”
Jack felt very down after hearing Mark’s teasing.
Jack went home with a sad face.
Mother Duck asked, “Oh, my son, what’s the matter? You look so worried. Anything’s bothering you? Should I know it?”
Jack replied, “Nothing special. It is just one thing I am concerning. Mama, you always say “you are what you eat.” I don’t want to be potatoman. Can we eat less potatoes? Mark says I am going to become a potatoman according to the shape which I have now. And my body will grow potato soon.”
Mother Duck answered him gently and calmly, “Don’t worry, my dear. Do you still remember "Green Giant"? It is your favorite dish. Green Giant offers the best food for us. If your body grows potatoes, it means you can become a Brown Giant. You would serve your purpose to bring the others good and tasty potatoes and create good dishes for them. Don’t you think it is a wonderful idea? My dear little Brown Giant.”
Jack was very satisfied with Mother Duck’s answer.
Jack opened his arms, lifted his hands and pretended his was flying with the fast speed he could, and started yelling out , “Wow! Wow! Wow! I am a future Brown Giant. Hurrah! Hurrah! Hurrah!”
Mother Duck- A Glamorous Shopaholic
In April the most pleasing weather in English isles cultivates the best shopping mood for the locals. Daffodils, which present the atmosphere of spring in England, cover over the hills and fields. The colorful land is welcoming all lives to step out of their doors and enjoying the blessings from the Mother Nature.
Mother Duck is not an exception. The energy from the sun gives her more desire of looking for the best pleasure she likes, shopping. She never forgets her best pleasure of shopping around.
This morning, she told herself “let’s browsing around and find something useful!”

She went out actually with her secret plan. She wanted to get something decent to reward her coming birthday. The secret mission brought her to one of crowded and classic towns in the midland of England.
She had been dreaming about having a sparkling diamond ring. There was a splendid diamond ring in the one of jewelry shops attracting her attention. A delicate gold stand covered two crossed crescent bands: one band was implanted rubies and the other was implanted sparkling diamond clusters. The combination presented the most colorful rays around the ring. Her mind completely surrendered by this temptation. She stepped in the shop and wanted to have a try on that ring.
She said, “Sir, can I try it on.”
“Of course! Ma’am. You are most welcome”, said the shop keeper.
The shop keeper assisted Mother Duck to put on ring on her finger. Suddenly, the light in the shop turned on so bright, at the same time, there was a smile shown on the corner of her lips and her eyes become more sparkling.
From the bottom of her heart there was a voice calling out, “This is one which I have been dreaming of it for a long time.”
Her head was struggling and fighting with her mind.
The head said, “It is too big.”
The mind said, “Get it fixed.”
The head said,”It is too bright for you.”
The mind said, “It is just the right color for you, and you cannot find the better one if you lose this ring.”
The head said, “The design is too sophisticated, and you need the most fashionable one.”
The mind said, “The design is just right for your glamorous appearance, mature and sophistication, and you cannot find any better ones. Besides that, the design of the ring demonstrates your delicate finger and classical skin color.”
“What the hell….! I want it! Why not!” said Mother Duck.
She took out her credit card and decided purchasing with a persistent mind.
Before the sweet and gorgeous clerk received the card, all of a sudden, Pi Pi sounds from the mobile inside her brand new pink leather handbag. She withdrew the credit card and answered the golden mobile phone.
“Darling, what have you got today? Please, do not forget today’s budget! 300 pounds.” there was a voice over the mobile phone.
“Sure thing, my dear. Not much! I am just browsing!”, answered Mother Duck.
“Darling, I am gonna go for next meeting. See you at home tonight, enjoy your shopping!”
“Bye! My dear!”
At the same time, she was quickly glancing at the price of the ring showed 3,000 pounds.
The fire of purchasing desire inside her eyes was extinguished from red to pure green color by that earlier call from her beloved hubby as her walk-in bank.
“Well, well, I don’t think my Father Duck would be happy to see this number showing on this month bank statement. Well, try next time, then.” a voice inside her head.
Mother Duck gently placed the credit card back into her gorgeous handbag and patted the handbag twice and said, “Babe, give you a rest today.”
Mother Duck. looked at the confusing eyes of the clerk and smiled at her.
“Well, an urgent call from a big shot. I need to go now! Next time will be the better time to complete this deal. Ciao bella.”, said Mother Duck.
She stepped out of the shop with a relaxed mind. The April breeze was blowing at her hair and waved her daffodil-pattern dress. She didn’t feel regretful with giving up the ring, because she had enjoyed the pleasure of choosing rings comforting her desire of purchasing. She is just one of women who enjoy the proceedings of shopping. She is a typical shopaholic indeed.
